ACTUALLY to the people who don't know the original story this song is connected to Gumi's song "I (Love)" Because Gumi and Luka fell in love but Luka thinks its wrong to be in love with a girl forcing herself into a relationship with a boy.  In Gumi's song she says how she still loves her and in Luka's song she's trying to convince her that it was never real to began with even know she knows its a lie and still clearly has feelings for her too.

fun fact, listened to this song when it first came out and i was 9 years old. i realized after having it obsessively on loop it was about a f/f relationship. 9 year old me decided the song was so good that maybe i no longer hate gay people. now im gay.

So, there are two main theories for this.
1) Luka loved Gumi but began to feel that loving a girl was wrong, here she is trying to deny her feelings and dating a guy.
2) Luka never loved Gumi and was just faking it, here she is trying to convince Gumi of that, or she's dealing with the internal conflict of it.

At the beginning, Luka almost sounds like she's chanting "Truth" and "Lie"(or "Love")..

THEORY:

Luka and Gumi are going out and everything is fine. Until Luka starts to question their relationship and being in love with a girl. The Kagamine twins make  fun of their relationship causing Luka to break-up with Gumi (I'M SORREH IF I COPIED ANYONE, I DON'T READ COMMENTS). Then, she goes out and dates Kaito but Gumi still loves her. In this song, she tries to convince Gumi that their love was just a Lie. In Gumi's song I (Love), she explains that she wants to save Luka from "him" or Kaito. They are working on Kaito's song.

I think that, once you pair the songs together, it's about Luka who was confused on her sexuality and tried it out with GUMI, who is lesbian/bisexual. Luka realised from the beginning that it didn't feel right; but she didn't want to break GUMI's heart. Eventually, she fell in love when another person, a man, and still didn't end it with GUMI because she didn't want to cause her friend pain.

Since in this one Luka is on the right and her background is black, and since in I (love) Gumi is on the left and her background is white, maybe for Kaito's song he's gonna be in the middle and his background is gonna be gray. Maybe a dark gray to show that he's with Luka.

I really like this song, Circus-P's tuning is so unique. She sounds so smooth and emotionnal, but has a very robotic effect, in a pleasant way.
Kinda reminds me of hiyoshizuku x yama's way of tuning
