4080 starts at 899 huh. I see what you did there. You pulled an apple move on us. You want to keep selling old gen stuff for the same price because you have some stock left but don't want to lose money so you just leave them the same and price the new model above the old one as if the old one isn't 2 years old. I don't understand people defending this. You want to pay more? There is inflation but not on this scale. It's obvious that they just want to sell their old gpus because they have a lot of them in stock.

The cheaper 3080 also has less cuda cores. ie it's a 4070 really. So about 2x the price of the 3070.

It is cheap per CUDA core. Considering price per gram, it is cheaper than my Geforce 4 Ti 4200, same if I consider price per cubic inch of graphics card. A bargain at 1599$.
