Madoka and the Nutcracker Witch

One thing that I love about Madoka is how it borrows a lot of elements from various forms of literature. And so when I saw the trailer for "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms", I immediately wanted to use it to highlight the references that the anime (specifically the 3rd movie) makes to the ballet. Homura's witch form is officially known as "Homulilly : The Nutcracker witch", and has minions that are all based on the Nutcracker. And while editing this, I found even more references that I wasn't able to notice while simply watching the anime.

But anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I rushed this a bit to have it ready by the end of Christmas (pacific time), but I'm still pretty pleased with how everything turned out. I wanted to make a cool logo for the trailer, but I decided to scrap that idea for time. I may tweak a few things for the AMV Contest version though.

I'm pretty disappointed that kyubey's voice isn't Morgan Freemen in the real dub it works perfectly and also a deep voice on that cute/unsettling face is kinda funny and fitting

1. The obligatory thought of comparing this to my Nutcracker and the Four Realms AMV.

2. Kyubey as Drosselmeyer = Princess Tutu vibes.

Sayaka/ Oktavia orchestrating the music is perfect. This video is so perfect in fact, it gives the impression of if the girls could, they'd make something like this for a film project for class.

Good job! I can tell it's rushed a bit compared to your other trailers, but it picks up at 00:40 with that money shot. I think this will be awesome with some tweaking. You succeeded quite well with your mood sync though. That's solid.
