I work in the Magnolia section of Best Buy here in Orlando. Ran a few demos today for customers and 2 of these puppies walked out the door, complete with subwoofer as well. Its an awesome product and definitely recommend it. Definitely recommend it over the Bose Cinemate 1 SR which has about the same price point but lacks the wireless features and music integration capabilities of this device.

I've got the PlayBar, Sub and 2 Play 3s set up for true 5.1 in my family room. Love it. Honestly, the PlayBar doesn't do itself justice until you add the Sub to it. It's almost not even worth adding it without the sub.

You do NOT NEED the bridge, ti's optional. The Bridge is only there for creating a "small network" for your Sonos devices (Playbar, Play 3 etc.). But if you don't buy it there may be a chance of interruption from other devices like your computer, phones etc.

Over all, the Playbar really impressed me with his sound quality. The sound coming from this is really amazing for only this thing. The bass quality is amazing, I thought we need to buy an extra subwoofer but we don't need it because the bass on this thing is just really great!

"A little more" strikes me as a serious understatement. A lot of decent (if not spectacular) televisions can be purchased for that same price point. Of course, it is somewhat silly of me to compare this to the price of a tv. I guess I should adjust my perspective to account for the total cost of my home theatre setup, not just individual pieces compared to each other.

I have the Play 1 and the Play 3. They're both great speakers for their size. * They are also very well built; a surprising level of Quality.  - Looking forward to picking up their new Playbar :)

You can get the pure energy soundbar for 200$ less. And it comes with the wireless sub. Also sounds way better.

Mark quick question i hear in lot of forums that you can only use this in sterio sound due to optical cable. Is it true that you can't have dolby 5.1 in playbar?
