I just purchased a Playbase with 2 play 1s and a sub running on my LG Oled 65" The system packs a great punch, The downfall the only option is Optical, if i purchase a Optical coverter to HDMi and converted Optical to HDMi threw my ARC will that enhance the sound quality?

The Beam is garbage! It is aesthetically pleasing, but it's harmonic signature is absolutely horrendous! Buy the Sonos Playbar if you absolutely MUST own a Sonos soundbar! Specifically, the highs are compressed to the point of non-existence and the mids are muddy! There are many, many soundbars that are sonically superior for half the price! At $400 the competition blows this thing out of the water! Only purchase if you crave the feeling of buyer's remorse! Sonos makes many fine mid-fi products (i own some and have recommended others), but THIS ain't one of them! For instance, i performed a side-by-side, blind, test with several friends, of a Sonos Beam vs Samsung HW 650 soundbar! The results were laughable! I mean, literally, my friends would snicker and chuckle every time the Beam was featured! One of my friends went to my kitchen, retrieved my garbage container, unplugged the Beam, and gently sat it in the garbage can. He stated that "This is the only place within a home where this thing can thrive"! I agreed!
