How to Start a Fire with Friction | Winter Survival Skills

This method of lighting fire with wood will surprise you. During the winter season, when people go trekking in the jungle, sometimes they get stuck. To cook their food, they light the fire with this method. First, one piece of wood has to be rubbed against another piece of wood until it produces smoke. Then, They put dry bark from the trees on top of the smoky ash and blow on it until it catches fire. Once the fire is burning, then this fire can ignite another piece of wood.

Bow drill isn’t my favorite way but if this was the only way but the conditions has to be right/dry in order for this method to work. People better start looking at work out for fathers did in the Great Depression. I pretty much always have some dry birch bark, cotton balls impregnated with petroleum jelly and a ferro rod. If you don’t have a bugout bag prepared then you’re behind the 🎱. YouTube bugout bag or prepping.
