I have been watching your videos for a while, made some dishes. As a Family of four with 2 young kids our grocery bill has almost doubled over the last year or so and I am So excited to see more budget friendly recipes! Thank you Dave!!!

This seems like a great new way to reach folk. I love the idea of sharing ways to shave the costs from meals---you seem to have a really full scope of information about why eating is more expensive. And having more sharing from viewers should be great! I love seeing true communities develop though online venues. I'll be here again, for sure.

Dave, you have created a great community here, and I feel as though it will become even more interactive thanks to your initiatives. This Newscast is a wealth of information plus I find that you have just echoed exactly what we are too experiencing here in Australia: the cost of living is ever increasing; that is utilities, fuel and groceries alike. Since the pandemic, it seems, things have taken a nosedive, meanwhile the sense of homeostasis has changed, and sadly it's gone! Moreover, I agree with you that in recent months the economy has further unstabilized.
In saying so, I wish to salute you and extend my gratitude toward your channel, as it has guided me with nightly meals, including those budget meals we so enjoy! Thank you Dave, Crew and Coco for the wonderful work that you all do here. I look forward to many more terrific recipes and sharing them with my family and friends, and perhaps on here too. Good initiative. Congratulations. Thanks. Where I live - Tasmania (Aus) I personally know they are cutting down on their choices of meat, vegetables and fruit, baking ingredients and less luxury items/recipes. Buying in bulk is a great idea for families; however for a couple or an individual especially the seniors it’s not such a good offer when incomes/pensions have to be stretched to cover other price hikes. It makes shopping on a budget a real effort.

Dave I have been to the supermarket this morning and was shocked at the price of 500g gnocchi. This is South Africa and boy are we paying. The sad thing is to see pensioners standing with cash in the hand and it's too little to buy a bread and 1liter of milk.
Our fuel prices are sky high. Our taxes are terrible and our government is super corrupt. To know that Canadians are sort of in the same boat is weird because South Africans see that country as heaven on earth. So glad for this channel.🎉🎉🎉

Dave, very nice, informative show, I like the show ( not just because you gave me a plug), my family being from rural Kentucky, I know more about budget cooking, even ultra budget cooking, than I do about making fine dining meals. This show gave folks an insight on how food prices rise, there are many factors, I believe you should keep posting the show as long as you are getting feedback from viewers. A comment section for folks sharing recipes is a a great idea, especially for budget meals.

Exactly, we have to be very careful with what we eat in chain restaurants like Mc Do and, they are changing the way we eat that makes it serious, it is good to make ourselves our own food and with inflations $ it is true that we will have to change things to learn to survive too, .. I have my greenhouse . I have a greenhouse and a big garden and I do a lot of canning and with a food dehydrator also to make vegetables and fruit and meat, to preserve, I in New Brunswick I remember my grandparents telling me about the time of the war, they have families who survived just by eating buckwheat ploye and baked beans . . vegetable soups. and as you said corn bread . bread and molasses, , , , at some point the animals of nature, risk disappearing too . with what the government is doing with CO2 their evil plan

I refuse to pay 6$ for a jar of salsa! Growing my own vegetables this year and homemade salsa.

My problem with being on dialysis, is that my diet is so limited as it is. Any other changes our price hikes would really be horrible. I struggle as it is to keep my phosphorus down while eating well. I see no good answer to all of this.

Things have got totally out of hand and what's sad is it's all on purpose. What we need to do is change Administrations running our countries.
