I'm from Japan. In all seriousness, people should really try Malaysian foods when you travel there, it's definitely Asian food heaven. Tips: Don't go to the fancy restaurants, go to the cheap ones where the lines are long. And don't be afraid to ask the locals to recommend what food you should try and where to go, they're really friendly. My favourite Malaysian food is Sate (beef or mutton, which was cut into small pieces and then marinated in a mixture of spices before being skewered and grilled over a fire) and Nasi Kerabu (blue-colored rice eaten with fried chicken, crackers, pickles and other salads). Loved it💛

For those who are weirded out by the single slice of onion, it’s to differentiate the kind of murtabak (the name of the roti in the video) as the roti’s filling consists of either chicken or beef :) in doing so, the person handling the hot pan can easily distinguish between the two.

Although the “and you get a *single* slice of onion” comments are funny, in all seriousness, the filling of the murtabak has a good amount of onion in it too! Hope that helps! 😊

I hate every time people comment about wearing gloves when every time you go to the restaurant, nobody wears gloves, the chefs that handle your food nobody wears gloves. If you knew anything about restaurants, you would know that. If people even knew anything about the food industry, you would know that. People act like gloves are going to save them from getting sick, when they don’t. Gloves don’t make anything clean. Clean hands, make it clean

This is my childhood best Murtabak ever. Used to buy this "murtabak rose" during night market. But never ever try to buy it during Bazaar ramadhan. It will be a very long queue😅
