We have been neighbours with Malaysia for so long, we should already know their pattern liao . It’s our own fault for trusting and believing in them . Our SG gov should really ramp up efforts in local food and water production and also ensure no country should supply more than 20% of any imported products lest we be kena tekan again .

Now, Malaysian breeders, having lost the high margins of the ca. 120, 000 chickens, daily sold to Singaporeans, may be forced to raise higher the prices of whole Chickens sold to Malaysia local markets. Otherwise, to either reduce the number of Chickens in the farms, to cut further production losses.

It has nothing to do with local private chicken farm owners' decision, they are losing big time due to backdoor government banning export. Their chicken ready for Singapore stricter controlled premium market now has to sell at lower fixed price in Malaysia market at loss, and also losing large market share to Indonesia and Thailand due to new suppliers are brought on board by Singaporean health, trade agency.🥴
