I'm oversizing to make sure I exceed my annual consumption no matter weather or future consumption patterns and to cover ANY system degradation in the out years, plus we might be adding a second EV to our family motor pool. Since my power company offers a one-to-one Net Metering I will "gift" any extra power to them until the items listed above start kicking in.

Why is oversizing unnecessary? Wouldn’t the larger size, due to net metering, decrease ROI time? Also less price/watt with larger sizes? Great video

Don't go with the lowest bid. I made that mistake

I find it funny you discuss string inverters, microinverters, but not power optimizers. And from the visuals you imply that solaredge is a string inverter only. Come on dude...if your claiming to be unbiased, please then do so. Power optimizers are valid option in the solar market place.

So currently net metering is 1 to 1 but how do i find about the credits? You mentioned some places will not have a limit and other places will. Sorry in advance if my question didnt make sense im just trying gather information so i can make an informed decision. I have noticed there isnt much leasing talk about ground mounted systems at all its all about the roof mount systems.I will tell you that sunrun showed up at my door trying to sell solar....first i dont that kind of business because no one that shows up at your front door is there for you! They have to have a huge incentive for themselves! And it is absolutely mind blowing to me to me and cant really comprehend leasing anything for 25 years 🤯. Especially something that is attached to my house. To me thats like own a car but not the engine. And you cant modify it or do anthing to it. I asked the salesman.. what about selling my house... i said what if the buyers dont want solar? With a straight face he said... "you wouldnt even know the buyer doesn't want soloar, because they wouldn't buy your house.. after noticing the look on my face🫨 he said if you were on realitor looking for house and you didnt want soloar then you wouldn't buy a house that has soloar. I said then your talking to the wrong guy because if i liked everything except the soloar panels my offer would say i will buy the house if the solar is removed or i would remove it myself
And if you dont like it after 2 years well might as well sell your house because your stuck with the lease!
