Even though you *CAN* be rude to the police, you should aim to be as calm and polite as possible. The only exceptions should be if you know that they are violating your rights.

Emphasis on the "you can legally say whatever you want, but don't."

Grim reality is that cops don't care if what you are doing is illegal, cops care if you are being obedient to their authority. Courts care about the law. If you don't make it alive to court, the law doesn't mean shit to your situation.

The “don’t run” part is the most important one on this list imo. At best you’ll probably get a warrant for resisting arrest (if you even manage to escape), at worst you’ll be dead.
