Why do Youtube have to point me out? I'm literally watching this video while scrolling through my phone.

Summary:
There is 3 types of schedules :
Everyday schedule : make sessions before school or work so you actually have the energy for it
Or choose the time where your energy pick
Open schedule: make a deadline for empty day so you go an actually study before the deadline you give yourself
Dopamine thoery : when you have that days when you don't want to do anything you just have to do something you really hate then your dopamine pick and you will get motivated to do at least some work
In this days you might not be doing as well but thats better then nothing

I love to study . When i am studying i feel calm, fulfilled and really happy. But i can never get myself to start studying. I end up being on social media which basically drains my energy out.

What helps me is what Atomic Habits says, make doing something easy. I keep my books on my study table open at the page where i left off, and just start. I'm pretty distracted but starting small is always better than procrastinating it all together

One tip I took from someone (maybe Huberman?) is to sleep. They said if you keep getting distracted or otherwise can't focus, just take a nap. This means that your whole time is spent choosing between sleep and study. I did that. 30-60 minute nap, then it's a 6 hour study sesh.

As a person with ADHD, it's a game of endurance and a game of subtraction.

Subtract distractions, subtract distractions in environments at specific times.

endurance being : If I wanted to say read a textbook for three hours, then Id have to spread my hours out especially when learning new concepts.

Juggling ideas in my head is mentally exhausting.

I could totally relate to he cold shower example. Just a week ago I started taking cold showers. At the beginning, I’m always nervous and regretting my decision but when I’m finally out I always have a big smile on my face and I wanna jump up and down and laugh because I’m so happy that’s over and proud of myself for doing it.

I have been a long time fan from when you were still at Meta and I'm so amazed at your level of video editing!!! Your videos have always been great, but with every new video especially recently since leaving Meta I feel like your edits (from the background videos to subtle audio transitions) are on a whole 'nother level! Thanks for always putting out the great content that you do! 💛

"I can feel my dopamine dipping rn" 😂 Tina, I have been binge watching your videos for the past few days and I'd like to thank you for creating such amazing content. I love how you back up your points with reputable research & sources. My major was in sociology and as a researcher I ran into your videos while searching for answers on how to adapt my skillset into this changing world. I also have to say that I find your trajectory quite inspiring. Hope you keep up with the content, and if not, you have a renaissance soul and we can not blame you for it :)

Generally such a nice video.I’ve got mocks coming up and have been revising but I keep losing motivation really needed this. Don’t know why it’s so underrated def deserves better. The advice is well strong and straight to the point with actual references, studies and evidence. Also love the little gifs and clips included. The editing must’ve taken ages!! Definitely gained a subscriber. I’m here for this
