How to Use Nested IF Function in Excel

In this Excel Function Explained video series, I will Demonstrate, how to use Nested IF Function in excel. It’s an extended if function that allows you to use multiple if functions at once. Basically, nested if function is just the multiple use of if function at once Using Nested IF Function, you’ll be able to Check a lot of a conditions at once. You can use up to 64 if function at once in Excel.
I can clear the Nested IF Function with an example. Suppose you are creating a detailed grade sheet where students grade will be calculated if it falls under any of the predetermined range. Now this situation requires Nested IF Function. In this example I used 7 if functions inside one function to display exact grade each student got.
Let’s learn how to use Nested IF formula in excel.
The formula we created, each If function checks a condition and display a result if true and if the result is false the another IF function is created. This continues until the last condition where you display a value if true and a value if false result.
This is how we use Nested IF Function in excel. Remember, using Nested IF Function in excel you actually tell excel formula to check if a condition is true or false, if true it will return a predefined value, if false it will start another if function until you check all the conditions.
