I always hear the lazy, regurgitated rock lore, "Roger Waters has a huge ego" used to dismiss the man. You don't think John Lennon had a big ego? Or David Bowie? Or Michael Jackson? Or every other rock star out there? Roger, who rarely did an interview, or basked in the limelight, appears more humble than the majority of celebrities nowadays who would do just about anything to get a bit of attention on the television. Absolutely, Pink Floyd would not have been as compelling or magical without David and Co... But there would be ZERO semblance of what we know as Pink Floyd (At least Meddle through Final Cut) without Roger Waters. For him to defend that which he created/ his legacy isn't arrogance. Perhaps peeps are simply intimidated by his politics? Because the truth is the truth whether you believe it or not. And Roger preaches truth. This album will be important.
