give money to the story writers, you can make box office hit even from an anime, the story is first, even an epic movie like bahubali had a good substance

Creating wealth entails establishing positive routines, such as consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for sound investments. Financial management is a vital subject that many avoid, often leading to future regrets.

The best example I can think of is 'Laapata Ladies'. What a f***ing awesome movie! It didn't have flashy costumes, or out-of-salon-looking actors, or item numbers or songs with expensive sets, or steamy scenes or forced cheap humor/comedy. Nope. None of that bullshit. What it did have was a no-nonsense fresh story which was grounded in reality, great characters, talented actors, and a simple vision to deliver it with wholesome wit. That's what bollywood needs right now. A movie with a good story and decent production quality.

I am so happy finally someone spoke about this.
Great topic, Indian cinema needs new good stories and we as the audience should start appreciating the writers equally if not more than the already well established and "famous" actors.

Good video overall. But looked more like an opinion piece and commentary rather than a factual reporting backed by data points of finances of those 125 movies you claimed. I was really hoping to see figures, and facts reporting.
Also, is this possible if you can make your dataset of 125 movies open source under non commercial licence for secondary research and analysis?

It's so sad to see that script writers arent getting paid which is literally the backbone of movies and series but some hyped dude acting charging the highest and producers are fullfiling their demand... I mostly want and enjoy the movie because of the script and storytelling not because of someone acting in it. The audience also need to change their approach while watching a movie. I have some friends who watches even a shitty movie just becuase that actor played the lead role in it. To me this is what killing the industry and nothing else.

It's a shame that the most diverse oldest surviving civilization which is literally land of stories, Indian Film Industry fails to capitalise on this.

Every time a movie is a hit only the actors take the limelight, it's shown in movie awards as well... If it's an industry everyone involved in the movie deserves respect

Tamil and Telugu cinemas do have the same issues but the sheer star power of tamil and telugu stars producers are more than willing to pay for tamil and telugu actors. Bollywood actors must learn from telugu and tamil stars. Actors like Vijay Rajinikanth Sivakarthikeyan Surya Kamal Haasan Vijay Sethupathi Jr NTR Allu Arjun Mahesh Babu Ram Charan Chiranjeevi Nagarjuna Pawan Kalyan they choose films that strike chord with their fans and with the masses and they don't do fake PRs in social media and are pretty private individuals.

I think actors are taking smart moves because they know about movie script so if movie script is good then they are ready to work on lower pay cheques 😅
