The year 1977...a newcomer to the industry gets a National Award from the President Of India for Mrigaya ...a film made in Bengali as well as in Hindi.

Mithun must be wondering at that time whether to rejoice on the recognition or to ignore it altogether as the award did not make any difference in getting more films.

Commercial film awards in the industry brings success & prosperity.

Things changed for the better for Mituun Chakraborty in the years to come. After 4 decades in the industry when he looks back, he must be the only actor to receive a National Award on debut.

Mithun ji is a very nice actor as well as a good human being. He struggled too much in his youngage. He got the national award but he was in his poverty at the time. Even once he gave an interview before a journalist only for a simple lunch. Very nice video of My Rahoul Sir. 🙏🙏🙏
