Parents of Oxford School Shooting Suspect in Court

#BREAKING: James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of the Oxford High School shooting suspect, were in court on Tuesday for a probable cause conference. They are each charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting. Prosecutors say they gifted their son the gun he used to kill four classmates – Tate Myre, Hana St. Juliana, Madisyn Baldwin and Justin Shilling.

So now they are going to start arresting the parents of these murderers? I think that is a good thing, maybe parents will be more careful with guns!

I took my kid from school after a teacher wrote me and told me on email they found my child wrote on the back of a test he wished he was dead . I ran to school and took him to a psych center for evaluation . I was mad they did not call immediately ! Why would the school and parents let him stay in school . This is insane

You can see both are in a state of shock, the gravity of their situation slowly sinking in. I've no empathy whatsoever. Their actions speak of two emotionally arrested individuals (stuck in the teenage years), thinking they're such little rebels: arming their child with a lethal weapon, the 'mother' exhorting her son 'not to be caught, LOL', running from the police, thinking only of their own hides.
Despicable, the both of them.

I always try to remember that at any second, the trajectory of one's life can change in a blink of an eye. Every opportunity I get, I remind my children to be conscious of life-altering decisions that can impact their lives for a moment or forever. Always use These parents made a decision to purchase the gun and they may be spending the rest of their lives in jail along with their evil son.

They are definitely responsible for these tragic losses. The mother’s texts made it clear that she thought that violence is a joke.

So let me get this straight…the parents share private attorneys but their kid, who they failed, has a public defender??
This is further proof that these parents are part of the problem! They need to be held accountable and so do the school administrators who failed to remove that student from the school.

Everyone is talking about the failures of these parents, but all I can think of are the four sets of parents who have brutally lost an innocent child. It must be awful especially with the festive period coming up. They are in my thoughts and prayers along with siblings, grandparents, friends and anyone else affected.

Defense attorneys get paid for every motion they file. It will be denied. They are a flight risk.

The Principle and office staff should face charges as well. The teacher did her job, no one else did.

The teacher that notified them should be given a substantial raise. The office staff should be demoted.

When will charges be laid against the school for their part in ignoring all the signs and allowing this to happen. If they had done what they were supposed to do to protect those students this would never had happened. The parents and the school need to be held responsible

As to the comments about the shackles on them - there have been several times where prisoners without shackles have hurt and/or killed themselves while in a courthouse. They have lept over interior balcony railings or thrown themselves down stairs. It may be to protect them from themselves.

This tragic event was a result of multiple failures.. the parents failed, the school failed, and this young adult failed to act as a human being. All three must be held accountable !

Four families are heartbroken because of their neglect to properly raise their son to respect human lives.
Nor do they have respect for themselves, running away from their responsibility, their son's actions. Their actions speaks volumes as to why this horrible tragedy happened.

Their bond is set at 500, 000 each and being a flight risk I doubt the Judge will lower it at all....

OUTSTANDING AMERICAN JUDICIAL SYSTEM.... this sets a precedent that lame so-called PARENTS, who allow their criminal children to have easy access to weapons...NEED TO ALSO BE HELD IT A WARNING TO OTHER FOOLISH, IGNORANT SO-CALLED RESPONSIBLE PARENTS TO THEIR INSANE OFFSPRING!!!!
