I am 11, and noticed that if I went to bed scared or stressed I would wet the bed, but if I went to bed calm, and happy I would not.

One thing, for sure, if your child wets the bed...DO NOT make him or her sleep in wet sheets or beat them periodically...it DOES NOT work and they will only end up resenting you later in life

I dealt with this until my mid-teens. It might seem quite an insignificant problem compared to other health conditions, but you cannot underestimate the emotional impact it can have especially as you get older.

Im 11...and my parents get so mad. Sometimes I get so tired and just fall asleep and forget to use the bathroom. But when do use the bathroom its not problem. And I'm writing this is 3 am because I woke up with wet sheets and had to get a t-shirt to cover where it was wet. I'm so embarrassed! My mom yells at me :( And she said if I keep doing it she's never washing my sheet. Ugh I hate this!!I'm upset at myself.My mom tild the doctor which is so embarrassing and she said its normal just go to the bathroom. Like my mom acting as if its a disease.

Yeah I'm 12 and this is really tedious. Every. Single. Day. I have to wash my sheets, the diapers didn't work, drinking little water still doesn't work, and 3 aif my neices found out and they tried to be calming and say its ok and stuff. But I saw that they has a camera in the corner, I just ran away. And I heard them re-watching the recording and wheezing about it. It's just hopeless at this point.

i’m 13. going into grade 9 and still have this. it’s my biggest secret. i’m feel awful and embarrassed and sleepovers absolutely suck. i have to wake up half an hour earlier than my friends so i could take it off, clean myself up, find and outdoor garbage, put it in and then bury it in the garbage so no one sees it. i hate it. if anyone has any suggestions, please please help me

I'm so scared for 8th grade because I have this problem and I'm in 7th grade. In 8th grade, everyone is supposed to go on a trip to Catalina for a week. I don't know if we're gonna have to sleep in the same rooms or if we're gonna like sleep outside or something but I don't want my friends to see me wet the bed because I feel like they'd judge me and be disgusted. I know I don't HAVE to go but I really want to because I've been to Catalina before and it's really fun and it would be even more fun with my friends. I don't know what I'm gonna do :(

I'm 13 and i still wet the bed i have a really bad sleep schedule and i think part of is is that i don't want to go to bed and not have control so i stay up late so when i do sleep it isn't for as long so i don't wet the bed but it causes damage to my rest and such I've also been on a couple different kinds of pills which worked but only for a small period of time usually around 3 or 4 months and then they become useless also when i go to see my dad and his girlfriend they are mean about it and worsen the issue and get mad so going to their house is even harder than it is in the first place and obviously i don't want my friends or anyone really to know because I'm a teenager and i still wet the bed and its embarrassing and effects me physiologically in multiple ways and it also makes me feel bad when my mom has to pay for a pack monthly and i feel like I'm burning her money on something that shouldn't have to be a problem but it is

I’m 12 almost 13 in September I wet the bed and have “accidents” in day time and I have to we’re pull up but I don’t because I fell stupid and I wake up to wet sheats and it’s sooo embarrassing

When I was younger dr’s Simply said I would outgrow it. I hated having to wear diapers and plastic pants when I became a teenager. I was allowed to stop wearing diapers when I entered high school at almost 15. Now I had to deal with nightly floods. I lived in constant fear of anyone finding out and had to endure my older brother threatening to tell my friends anytime we disagreed about anything. The stress level was horrible even though my mother never made a big deal out of it. Not until my late 20’s did a I have a through eurodynamic study done and discovered I had a neurogenic bladder, probably since birth, which, as the urologist put it, my bladder reacts more or less like a babies which means I never had a chance at night and also explained why I also struggled staying dry during the day. I suggest if you have a teenage bedwetter you have this study done to find out if there’s a physical reason for it. Your child might not be happy about having this done however because it’s quite evasive as tubes are inserted into your most private areas to do this and you lay there fully exposed for about a half hour while the testing is done.
