Ingredients:
8oz is breakfast sausage
1 cup of flour
3/4 cup of yellow corn meal
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 stick of unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 teaspoon for greasing skillet
1/4 cup of avocado oil
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of honey
2 eggs
1 1/4 cup of buttermilk

How to -
For the cornbread get two bowls, in the first add your dry ingredients and in the second, add the wet ingredients!

Combined the wet into the dry and mix until there are no large clumps. Set that aside.

Get a pan, cook up your sausage, once it’s browned, sprinkle on a little bit of flour, look cook for a minute or two and then remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same hot skillet, add some butter and let it melt, pour in the batter then sprinkle on the sausage.

Place in the oven on 350° and cook until nice and golden brown about 30-35 minutes.

Let cool for a few minutes!

I do not know why, but I have had an obsession with vintage Pyrex since childhood. Someone in my family pilfered the one I had asked for when my mom passes (knock on wood, not any time soon). I didn’t want anything from her, except for that bowl. I was also so heartbroken when I found out about the vintage one containing lead.

Oh, to be young again!!
I've only been a subscriber for only 2 week. I'm binge watching all your vids. So far every recipe I've tried is a winner.
Love the fact I most always have the right ingredients in my pantry.
I'm country girl so it's not like I can run down to the corner market & get somethin'.
Nope main street is closed up about 5pm unless its5 the drug store & they're stay open til 7pm.
We have 2 convenient store each close at 10 pm. So if you needa something from Aldi's or Walmart get ready to drive 32 miles to a town named Ardmore.
A quick, easy & full of flavor recipe is my kinda recipe...
So far I've hit a triple. I don't know when the grand slam of all recipes is coming but so far everytime Ive made your recipes my Fam has good thing to say like. Dang Mom that awesome or
Honey you knocked it outta tonight..

I don't know why but you make me laugh cuz you're really really funny & you cook to. It's like hit'n a double & I didn't even have to slide.
Everything isso simple & easy.
I know stop buth When I get up in the morning I check to see what's going on in your neck of the woods. Omgosh this recipe had me at cornbread.
This girl love her some cornbread. I can't believe I've never thought to put sausage in it for breakfast...
Growing up Cornbread & Honey was classified under dessert in our house.
My family is very close but also a huge but my Mom could take leftovers & a banquet.
So in the summer when grew & still grow most of our vegetables.
We had tons of tomatoes potatoes, corn, onions, etc, etc we grew pretty anything we could can & preserve for winter.
I Mom used cornbread instead of regular bread many times. My favorite was a
Tomato sandwich with mayo & green onion. You could could literally taste the sunshine in the freshly grown tomatoes..

Oh & my Granny Lulabell taught me about buttermilk w/
cornbread. It was a bedtime snack & I
still it eat it sometimes.
My kids just look at me like im crazy but i don't care.
Basically in my opinion cornbread can be eat'n for breakfast, lunch, supper.& snacktime. So thank you so much for all great recipes. 😊

Ever grind your own cornmeal? I take sweet corn and dry it out over the winter and grind it in my hand grinder to make my cornmeal really ups the game on cornbread.
