**FIXED NEW UPDATE - PS5 Won't Read Discs - Listen/Read , Need/Recommend Help, Leave Comment

**UPDATE 31-5-2023 , OK WE FIXED IT AS OF TODAY READ BELOW HOW WE FIXED IT AND WHAT TO DO TO AVOID HAPPENING AGAIN
so as it seems the issue was hardware, we had to fully disassemble the disc drive and move all inner eject/insert parts to make it work, dont worry gonna add video links below to show what to check. So we had to realign the white plastic moving parts where they grab the disc and eject it. For some reason which we might know what it is, the cogs/gears gears inside where stuck or not working, most likely because my bother left the disc inside ps5, and turned it on/off whole week. we believe letting the game disc inside somehow made the disc drive to get stuck, yes stupid reason but we think thats it, so unfortunately every time you have to turn off your ps5, is better to eject the game disc. we also added some silicone lubricant so the gears slide easier. Below im gonna post 2 vids which doesnt show how i fixed but how to realign all moving parts inside the disc driver and off course how to disassemble ps5. If it happens again and need to take to sony, i'll let you know with more updates.

my brother's PS5 disc edition won't read/recognise any game discs either ps4 or ps5 games. this is the 3rd time that happened in 2 months and now wont fix. read full story below. Also it wont give any error codes so we know what it is to fix it.
- First day of purchase we fully update the firmware, install 4 games from discs and then that's it , disc driver died, it wont read any discs required to play the games. So tried all sony troubleshooting, the only that worked was full hard reset. After that it read the discs fine but never tested again in depth of time cause my brother was playing the digital edition of god of war ragnarok.
- One week ago my borther fully completes gowr and begins to play Assassins Creed Unity disc edition. After he played 3-4 times, same problem comes back, it wont read discs out of nowhere. he fixed it with just restart.
- One or two days later same issue comes back, now we have tried everything, nothing work. we tried restarting, safe mode, updating, hard reset etc, nothing work.

Really dont know if its random software bug that randomly gets triggered , or disc driver is faulty or anything else. If you have similar experience please share. I dont see people reporting faulty or damaged disc drivers, i dont see people reporting about repairing the disc drive or sending it back to sony service.

Same here. Everything was fine. After little use, one day after playing God of War, it stopped reading disks. I am barely into the game and I can't continue. This is a widespread problem. So, why no lawsuit already? This is ridiculous.

If you press eject and nothing happens except 3 fast beeps, HOLD EJECT FOR 20 SECONDS, IT'LL SPIT THE DISK OUT

Reporting from Panama because i have the same problem. I won my PS5 in a contest and the organizers bought it on september 22 from a official store.

On monday i tested it with the GTA 5 PS4 disc and it installed and i played normally, after that i retired the disc.

Later on tuesday i wanted to play again and happened the same thing of your video, rn i'm waiting to GT7 PS5 disc to test it and confirm it's a hardware damage.

How is it possible that you buy a console and it has these problem... I got it yesterday, today i tried to put one in, at first it didnt accept the disc at all, it didnt go in. Now that is fixed but it does not read it like the problem of this guy😭😭

Try taking the cover off and rotating the manual eject clockwise 15 times

My son ps5 doing same thing it won’t take disc but when I retstart it take it starts to read disc I see it spinning but after that it stop spinning and doesn’t install the game he’s heart broken he can’t play his wwe I just got him

I don't know what's going on with with mine, I don't wanna go deep inside the disc drive unless I know for sure what the problem is. It reads PS4/PS5 Discs just fine only when I insert blu Ray discs it starts playing up from a black screen with a loading bar to sometimes making it to the movie menu just for it to freeze upon pressing play, on a rare occasion it does pop the disc out but like I said there's no such issues with game discs and the blu Ray discs are cleaned before inserting.
