Welcome to my American English Pronunciation and Voice Coach YouTube Channel! I’ve been teaching people just like you from all around the world how to speak American English with an American accent for over 15 years.

As an Award Winning Broadway Credited Voice, I always found it fascinating when my foreign students would be able to sing a standard American song with a perfect American English accent. Somehow singing completely eliminated their accent. Since that discovery, I have created a proven, groundbreaking, easy to understand, result oriented approach to reduce, and in some cases eliminate the foreign accent completely (don't worry, it doesn't involve you singing LOL!).

Welcome to the Accent Reduction Gym! The ONLY way we can learn how to master the American accent and sounds and rhythms is to retrain our tongue and soft palette muscles to create these American sounds and rhythms that your body is just not used to making. I will be providing you with specific exercises focusing on the sound and feel of specific American "Targeted" sounds and how they link to each and every consonant. In addition, I will share specific singing techniques to help create reliable muscle memory that you can call upon instantly. This technique has helped thousands of my accent reduction students master the American Accent and sound rhythms a lot faster.

In the American Catholic Church we have Philippine and East Indian priests with heavy accents. They can be here for years without improvement in their public speaking skills. Their parishioners are struggling and tuning out. I often think the Church really needs a formal accent reduction program to alleviate this problem.

I am a Chinese, but still find this video very useful! Although I make the correct mouth movement and tongue position with each sound, I still not sound like a native speaker. My place of articulation is influenced by Cantonese.
YouTube has lots of videos on IPA. It lacks videos on American place of articulation. There may not be a lot of viewers now. It’s beyond typical advance level. I think the viewers will build up.

This is awesome. I love my Spanish accent but it really confuses people. I know far more English than I know Spanish yet the accent doesn’t wanna go anywhere

Well done! I love your courses. One dead giveaway of Spanish speakers is the V sound. Somehow V sounds like a B. Your Chinese speaker video is also on point - Chinese staccato rthym and run on sentences. We are also Chinese Spanish couples. We laughed at each other's accent all the time. Jajaja (<- that's another one)

Beautiful story 🥺, I can only imagine how you felt as a child while standing with your dad . I was actually born in New Jersey but I moved to a predominantly Hispanic town and I have picked up an accent. I actually get embarrassed because I do not speak Spanish but I sound like a bootleg Dominican, ( im domincian/ Italian American) . Any suggestions?
