I’ve spent many months in Ethiopia. They, no joke, 100% believe that they (the Ethiopian Orthodox Church) have the arc. I’ll even ask the evangelical Ethiopians, and they believe it. Even the Muslim Ethiopians I asked believed it. I don’t personally buy it, but it was surreal to see how nearly the entire nation holds tightly to this belief.

TBF The idea of the arc being buried for centuries under the site of Christ's future crucifixion to have his blood spilled onto the mercy seat as the earth was torn asunder by the earthquake not only fits God's MO, patterns, poetic side etc., but sounds metal.
