People mainly think Italians invaded Ethiopia for this reason but long before the Italians it was the British who were trying to gain access to it but failed.

I saw a documentary on the ark from back in the 80’s. They said the ark is in a government warehouse somewhere amongst thousands of other artifacts. True story.

The Tigrayans are astute military strategists, and known for their fierce fighting prowess since ancient times. As a German, I really admire these people; brave and civilized. It is a reflection of how they kept the Ark of the Covenant for centuries.

Ethiopian Orthodox believers never take bribes over the ark . Joe we Ethiopians are the chosen ones to keep it safe .

Calling acts of death “terrible things” without understanding that the Priest who are supposed to be over that ark should be living Holy unto God. They're not dying because its horrible, or evil, its because of disobedience. If you read the word of God you will see how serious God takes his precious things. And how much responsiblity comes with that. That's in the world today period, (disasters, storms, earthquakes, etc) when sin is running rampant the word says the Earth cries out, longing for the sons of God to take back what belongs to God. These scientist can't understand why its doing what its doing because all they know is science. They're not doers of the word

While it’s interesting to see discussions about the Ark of the Covenant, I believe that any exploration of its significance in Ethiopia should be rooted in a deep understanding of Ethiopian history and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church's unique and longstanding connection with the Ark. Narratives from outside perspectives, especially without concrete insights into Ethiopia's cultural and religious context, can often misrepresent the profound relationship Ethiopians have with this sacred artifact. This history is rich and complex, and it deserves to be represented accurately and respectfully.

The story of the Queen of Sheeba and King Solomons son Menelik stealing the Arc of the Covenant and taking it to Ethiopia is a good read. Ancient story that gives credence to these claims.

Indeed. You don't hear about the Ethiopian Jews much and that is interesting.

It’s very interesting that Ethiopia would have the ark simply because they also had 1 of the first Bibles. I believe their Bible contains the book of Enoch and somehow Ethiopians have kept in protected/out of the public for centuries. It’s amazing/impressive

Copy and Paste of an interesting article that might be relevant to this video: Genetic tests carried out by British scientists have revealed that many of the Lemba tribesmen in southern Africa have Jewish origins, according to a report by the BBC. The Lemba, a tribe of 70, 000 to 80, 000 members who live in central Zimbabwe and northern South Africa, have customs which are similar to Jewish ones: Lemba refrain from eating pork or other foods forbidden by the Torah, or forbidden combinations of permitted foods, wear yarmulke-like skull caps, conduct ritual animal slaughter, have a holy day once a week, and even put a Star of David on their gravestones. According to their oral tradition, the Lemba are descended from seven Jewish men who left Israel 2, 500 years ago and married African women, according to the BBC. The Lemba prefer their children to marry other Lembas, and marriage to non-Lembas is being discouraged.

Their sacred prayer language is a mixture of Hebrew and Arabic. Their religious artifact is a replica of the Biblical Ark of the Covenant known as the ‘ngoma lungundu’, meaning "the drum that thunders.” The object went on display recently at a museum in Harare, Zimbabwe, and has instilled pride in many of the Lemba. They say the ark was built almost 700 years ago from the remains of the original ark, which according to the Bible was used to store the Ten Commandments. For decades, the ancient vessel was thought to be lost until it was discovered in a storeroom in Harare recently.

Members of the priestly clan of the Lemba, the Buba – which is one of 12 clans – have a genetic element also found among the Jewish priestly line, known as Kohanim. "This was amazing, " Professor Tudor Parfitt from the University of London told the BBC. "It looks as if the Jewish priesthood continued in the West by people called Cohen, and in same way it was continued by the priestly clan of the Lemba.”

Despite their roots, many of the tribe are now Christians or Muslims.

Speaking of the steles, my friend from Tigray tells me that there are manuscripts of the Book of Enoch which contain Enoch's purported teachings on how some steles were constructed; but these parts of Enoch are not found in any of the manuscripts available in the West. There are other teachings of Enoch which are not known about in the West. The stele mentioned by Graham Hancock is the Ezana Stele, which was a fourth century structure.

Doesn't Revelations start when the Ark is reveled? Yet so many people want to find it? This is kind of the same that as people wishing for the return of Jesus every day. Does that not mean the end of Revelations? Most people don't know either of these things and probably don't know what comes after revelations. If they knew any of the things listed. They probably would not be in such a hurry for these things because they would have a lot of reading, praying, repenting, and work to do in order to get to the "Heaven on earth" part.

During World War II Edward Ullendorff, while in the British army, but on his way to becoming a scholar on Middle Eastern history, along with some other soldiers forced their way in to take a look. He said it was a late medieval box and nothing more. Kind of aligns with when the first records of Ethiopians claiming to have the Ark appears in history.
