Firstly let’s talk about how the word “Dinosaur” was coined in 1841. Originally from the word “Dinosauria”, which consists of deinos, “great, terrible, powerful” and sauros “lizard”. So no the Quran would obviously not mention the dinosaurs by that name. However, the Quran mentions beasts “dabbah”. And says “He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. (2:164).

Here are your Dinosaurs. Cogito ergo sum.

speaking of dinosaurs being mentioned in the Quran, well, they aren’t: or are they?

before Allah created Adam, He mentioned this to the angels and they said “would He create another creature on earth when the PREVIOUS ONES killed themselves?

while this doesn’t specifically mean it’s the dinosaurs being referenced, it does tell us that there’s been creatures on earth before humans

There are genuine questions to be asked about whether dinosaurs existed:

- Why were no dinosaur bones found before the 19th century?
- Why has no complete dinosaur skeleton ever been found?
- Why did the British Royal Society come up with the idea of a dinosaur *before* the first bones were found?
