⭐NEW TO BLENDER? BEGINNER TUTORIAL SERIES HERE⭐

1. Open & Close Panels
Simply drag on the 3 diagonal lines in the top right (or bottom left) corner to split or collapse your panels. Each panel can be changed to show anything you want.

2. How to Position Your Camera
You can either position the camera at the current viewport position, use First Person View or lock the view to the camera.

3. How to Hide & Show Palens
Press 'H" to hide the currently selected objects. Shift+H will hide everything that is NOT selected. Press ALT+H to unhide everything.

4. Why Extrude (and Knife) May Not Work Properly
Do not scale your model in Object mode as this will distort the vertex normals. Scale in Edit mode or 'Apply' the transformation in Object mode to normalise the normals :)

Also, remember to properly UNDO any extrude operations to avoid duplicated edges. These can cause issues when trying to use the Knife in Blender.

5. How to Reduce Noise in Final Render
You can increase the number of samples to get cleaner renders. However, note that this will also increase your render time.

One Tip from me: If you have douplicate edges and you have gone far from creating them, you can select all ("a") and go to "Mesh>Clean Up>Remove Doubles" to remove (Really) identical vertices. You can also set the merge limit in the "tool shelf" ("t"), but pay attention to not break a lot of stuff, by e.g. setting the merge limit to high!

Dude, you've done it again! Your tutorials always seem to cover the things that more famous Blenderists miss, like "it doesn't work if your mouse cursor is on the outliner". Keep it up! :)

I wouldn't recomend to touch samples to reduce noise because they drastically increasing render times for normal scenes. There is new feature called "Denoiser". You just hit that one button and you forget about noise. Also near the "samples" settings there is "Clamp indirect", it's also reducing noise dramatically. Overall there are about 15 different places in Blender where you can go to to reduce the noise. But the new "Denoiser" feature usually does all you need without increasing render times

Loved this series! Probably the best set of beginner tutorials I've found for Blender, really covered the basics in a simple, straightforward way that was easy to follow. Do you have any plans to continue with more intermediate and advanced tutorials in Blender?

There was a very slight error that you said. at 5:50, you said "shift H" - "hides everything". You are not incorrect, but the short-cut is actually used to "hide everything, but the selected items".

So if you select the 1st cube then pressed "shift H" then the 2nd & 3rd cubes would be hidden but the 1st cube will stay unhidden.

Great video, I am a beginner and there were so many great tips that I haven't heard of before.
