I do believe that was one of the finest sermons ever preached. Thank you pastor Jim 🙏

Back in the mid 1980s, I was on a bike trail, I was in an open valley where the trail ran next to a stream. Most of the trail is hilly and treed, this was the only open area, say a quarter mile long and flat. Riding along, I hear something like a chainsaw motor, sputtering and getting louder by the second. I stopped and looked back and here comes an pusher ultra-light, a few feet off the ground and heading right for me. I hit the pedals and rode off the trail, hoping I was clear of the craft, I was. It landed, the engine had become a mere sputter by now, the pilot got out, immediately started tinkering with the engine and we chatted a bit. In a matter of minutes, he flipped the prop and the engine came to life, strapped back in his machine, gave me a thumbs up and off he went, no sputtering this time.

These aiplanes are actually cheaper than a modest PC to run Microsoft Flight Simulator😂

Love the safety message! Someone should never try to fly any plane without some ground training. I am not trying to impose any requirements on pilots. Just hope no one gets killed trying to fly an ultralight.

Hey Jimmy. I started flying when I was 13, all paid for by me working at the airport. By the time I took my checkride when I turned 17, I had over 400 hrs. I stayed with it a few more years and during those years I built (not alone) 3 ultra lights but one was technically an airplane. They were Rotec Rallys. A 2B, a Sport and a Rally 3. Awesome aircraft designed by the brilliant but maybe a little unhinged Bill Adaska. In my opinion they were the safest ultralights ever built and I can tell you stories why this is true. The internet is too young to know the truth Just wondering why they didn't make your list but love your content. You continue to remind me why I loved flying

My uncle bought a brand new drifter from Queensland back in the early 90's. (From memory). Flew it from the factory in Qld, back to Woomera in South Australia where he lived (with a retired American fighter pilot who was stationed at Woomera). They drove to Qld together, my uncle purchased the plane, then flew it back (took it in turns, one was flying, the other drove).

Love pastor Jim! Always a good laugh! I've been looking at building a fisher horizon2 from plans. Has a folding wing so you can store it in your garage or an enclosed trailer. 2 person cross country aircraft.

A buddy of mine built one of the FIRST ultralights in 1974. It was a Volmar 3-axis control hangglider with a small engine.

It was great to start the day with a lesson from the Reverand, now we want to see you flying one of these!

Back in the 80’s when I started flying, Plane and Pilot magazine used to publish a list every year of the best planes to buy for under $10, 000. The selection has gotten much smaller for the same money today.

I've flown in a Quicksilver 2 seater (side by side) and it was pretty good. It was interesting to have nothing but air/sky past the rudder pedals. This type of aircraft is only flown in low or no wind.

I trained at Liberty air park in Liberty Ohio when I was 14 in a two seat Quicksilver MX. It's a forgiving way to learn the basics of flight.

I've been sick for a week with a severe tonsillitis case, I laughed so hard with this video i don't think I need an amygdal extraction any more. Love your videos man! I'm also a student pilot motivated by your videos.

Hey Jimmy! I've watched your videos and I'm absolutely enamored with the work you do. I am aspiring pilot, with flight hours through the air force auxiliary program. I am a Staff Seargant and have my heart on flying. I've been blessed with a very unique situation if I could get in touch with you. So, here's hoping! Thanks so much for your time! Hope to hear from you soon! Thank you!

I always liked the Santos-Dumont Demoiselle #20 from the movie 'Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines', the original ultra-light.
