The biggest problem is that Windows automatically opens new folders in another window instead of just putting it into the folder tab bar.

The “new” file explorer is really nice but unfortunately it doesn’t seem so well optimized because I find it slower at times and sometimes buggy or unreliable which is a shame… I hope one day it will run as smooth as the old explorer

Microsoft actually did add folder tabs back in Windows Chicago (95 beta) but removed them one beta later

If there was no folder tabs, you could just open one File Explorer and drag it to the left and it would cover half of the screen, and open another file explorer and drag it to the right and it would also cover half the screen. Now you have two file explorers side by side

I have folder tabs in Windows 10 📁 you can easily enable it using QtTab bar. Even in Windows 7

i find the explorer to be so much slower in 11 now that honestly id prefer if it wasnt revamped

If Windows Vista introduced tabs in Internet Explorer 7, then that's when it should have included tabs in Windows Explorer. Upgrading to Internet Explorer 7 in Windows XP should also include Tabs in Windows Explorer as well (as Windows Desktop Update or something like that)

Linux already has folder tabs, notepad tabs, workspaces and even snap assist(extension).

If you take a look at your memory, you will see that more than half memory is utilized by cache(standby memory). Linux doesn't cache anything.

Also Windows 7 had this volume mixer feature which allows control over multiple apps. 😅
