This entire scene is one thing that the RoboCop reboot did better than the Original. While I guess it was up to the imagination of how much was left of Alex Murphy after he became RoboCop. This scene alone is something out of a horror movie, it’s like a nightmare come to life. Murphy said it best “Holy Christ! There’s nothing left”!!! Seeing how much of him is gone really adds more fear and trauma to seeing what he’s become.

I guess Dr. Juliette Faxx was right about Robocop that if you take away the plastic, metal, and wires, he's just a couple chunks on a coroner's table. He's not even a corpse.

This scene alone made me realize the potential for it that the movie didn't fully reach, unlike the 80s version where Alex did want to go back but was stone cold stoic about it, realizing he was too far gone and so he threw himself into his work. This Alex wanted to die after realizing there was no going back, that he was literally a pair of lungs and parts of a head with a hand that's being kept artificially going but was talked out of it.

This was a powerful scene! Both actors did a marvelous job as well! Terrific! Best scene in the whole movie!

Seeing as he is modular, able to be cleanly disassembled, and they've mastered the brain/chip barrier, not to mention preserving and sustaining organics with no digestive system, they could, in theory, create him a 'downtime' body. Cloned from his own cells, fitted with interfaces for his cardiopulmonary container, hand, and head. This also gives them the potential for swapping his arms or legs for specialized equipment.

Jeeze. Having his lungs and brain exposed like that? You know, I've seen a lot disgusting s**t in the series, that I've been getting used to it. But even this is enough to make me gag.

I like that they synced his lungs with his speaking.

I'll never forget the look on the kids' faces as multiple parents hurriedly rushed them out of the theater during this scene.

This is a truly disturbing scene the remnants of Alex is disgusting I couldn't even imagine myself seeing me like this.
The company screwed him majorly.
This wasn't the classic 1987 but the more I watched this I accepted it as its own unique thing not great nor awful it's one of those movies that grow on you the more you watch.
