Nice video! :) Very enjoyable, well presented, and you seem to know more about trains than you give yourself credit for.
It's indeed a turntable. The DJ equipment was named after it, haha.
Trains use the NATO alphabet too, so that's correct.
The wagons and locomotive have air brakes, which are operated with the train brake lever. In the case a coupler breaks, the hose pops off, the air escapes, and the train stops safely. The thing with the train brake is that it stops much quicker because it acts on all wheels, but it takes a while to pump back full of air and get going again if you let out more than just a little bit of the air. Also, the engine has to be running to charge the reservoir (top middle meter) and releasing the brakes fills the hoses from this reservoir (you can see this on the top left meter)
The independent brake only brakes the wheels of the locomotive, the advantage is that it reacts really quickly both off and on, the downside is that it doesn't have nearly as much braking power when there's a train attached. For small adjustments to speed, gradual slowing, or when just driving the loco around, it's perfect.
When you want to disconnect wagons, use the train brake so the brakes on the wagons stay on after they've been uncoupled. Unless you want to push them while they are uncoupled, in which case you want to make sure the line is filled and the valves closed before you release the hose. This can come in handy when shunting cars, but be careful about bumping cars into each other too hard.

Another trick, when reversing the train or having a long train stop beyond a switch to reverse, you can idle the engine when you're close, go over to the back car, stand on the platform, and when you want to stop, open the valve on the brake line. This is especially useful on longer trains, or when trying to combine trains, saves on guessing, and expensive accidents. (Normally you'd have a second person, but the game doesn't have that (yet))

VR mode is really cool. Very immersive. You can grab the handles and grab all the stuff when coupling. It would be neat if you could do this in multiplayer where your friend could be conductor, another the engineer, maybe one as a station operator who runs the switches for you...

I have this title in VR and let me tell you it's fabulous fun! Just be sure to have solid tracking because it is definitely room scale 360 degrees. There are some annoying bugs in mouse & keyboard mode and there are still a lot of stutters, but it is very early in development so I'm prepared to deal with it. Give it a go. I'm sure you'll love it. Great content as usual Master Clumsy. :D

@+- 16:00 it's not called trailers in the train world! It's wagons for goods and coaches/carriages for passengers. Trailer is not a used word in the train world. ;)

You not interested in VR, ? I agree it would be wonderful to walk around in VR in Truck simulator that would be so immersive! Imagine you could go to a truck cafe in multiplayer and meet other Truckers....

I hope this game doesn’t have tons of dls that cost I will still play it though it is so fun and is such an addicting game although dls are nice.
