You see replying to a fan’s question early on in the series, Horikoshi said that we would see Hisashi Midoriya at some point in the story, leading to me and the rest of the theory crafting community going absolutely crazy for years on end trying to figure just who Hisashi Midoriya really was, and when he’d finally make his entrance into the story. Imagine my reaction when the series ended, and we didn’t even get a single panel showing Deku’s father or any character we could even picture being his father.. It’s confusing, because Deku’s dad didn’t abandon him from the explanation we get, he’s supposed to be working Overseas, but the entire story of the series happens, including Deku going viral worldwide as all of society falls into chaos, but Hisashi never even CALLS HIM? He never even says GOOD JOB SON? Sheesh, that might be the least impressed father since Joe Jackson, and it really makes me wish it ended up being All for One because hey, atleast that’s SOMETHING instead of a character more or less being wasted completely.

I wouldn't be surprised if AFO being Midoriya's dad wasn't the original idea but got scrapped because Horikoshi couldn't figure out a way to make it work naturally. The sighns are there.
1.)Dekus doctor
2.)The flying Nomu during the Stain arc that grabed Deku is supposedly one of Dekus bullies.
3.)Horikoshi revealing that we will see Dekus dad right before we encounter AFO.
4.) The fact that OFA works differently for Deku than the other users.
5.) Deku's meticulous fascination with quirks was on the same level as AFO
6.) Horikoshi being super into Star Wars
