I personally like the idea of Peter having a change of heart after talking to Steve during their fight at the airport. He would initially join Tony’s side after basically being manipulated into doing so, since I doubt he was told much else other than that Captain America had gone rogue and needed to be stopped, making very little reference to if any at all to the implications of the Registration Act and how they would directly affect Peter. During the fight, Steve could make the inference that since Peter was wearing a mask, he probably had loved ones he wanted to protect by concealing his identity, and that wouldn’t be possible if Tony got his way. He’d remind Peter that he would be under the strict employ of the government, and instead of Natasha letting him escape on the Quinjet, it could be Peter. I think this could be a good compromise between what we got in the movie and trying to keep him more in line with how the character is typically portrayed

I really like how he didn’t need the Stark Suit he needed to use his old suit he made and it just makes sense bc he’s a kid and what he said to Tony when he offered him the IronSpider suit at the end of Spider-Man Homecoming he declined him and was forced to wear it later on in Infinity War.
