True, i was in a prem team academy as a u9, got released at 16 and now i dont even play football (im 22 now)

Here's the thing though. It makes financial sense to the club coz if they make one banger sale it all becomes worth it.

My teacher knows a kid who once played for United academy. The kid was naughty and would mess around in school and that caused him to get kicked out the team. The kid was actually decent at football

Just enjoy what you’ve achieved if you get the chance at an academy, keep playing as long as you can but move on quick in both your football and your life. It’s just a game, sure it will break your heart when/if you get released and clubs should do more to help you move on but don’t get too despondent. 💪🏽💪🏽

Makes no sense...there are over hundreds of thousands academies in Europe so 97% is a big number to survey. There are some academies which don’t have professional teams even
