Hello again Señor Belles. I was wondering, do you have any advice about what is the best way to improve understanding spoken Spanish? I can understand it better than maybe 6 months ago, but was wondering if you have any tips. Is it better to listen to slow Spanish first and increase the speed of start listening to the real thing and getting used to it?

Hello again, Señor Belles. Here come my two cents. In Mexico City, we normally use the verb VER when refering to watching a movie. So, in your number 3, we´d say: El otro día fui al cine y vi Zootopía. In number 2: Mi hermano hacía (estaba haciendo would sound more natural here) la tarea mientras mi padres preparaban la cena. Hizo would mean he finished the action before his parents started cooking. Number 8: Anda a la escuela is normally used as a command in southern Mexico, but (being from Mexico City) I would say: El lunes pasado cuando yo fui a la escuela, yo vi un venado. Or, even more natural: El lunes pasado cuando fui a la escuela, vi un venado. Yo can be left out, however, I can see why you included it since it's the reference to use the verb in the right tense in your exercise. Finally, number 5: Ayer hizo mal tiempo y no salí de casa would be more like it. Now, if you wanna use Pues in order to explain the reason why you stayed home, you can use por lo tanto. Ayer hizo mal tiempo, por lo tanto no salí de casa. I hope that helps.
