I like when the cat device makes an appearance

Nice to see the supervisor inspecting the products. I have two, but the outside colour combinations are slightly different. Feline snog everywhere.😻

Despite the fact that the top does not open, this is a nice and clean one. Thanks for the review!

Great detailed explanation, and the application scenarios are set up very well. Thank you, leepsp . Additionally, the desktop background of the Raspberry Pi in your videos always catches my eye. The Raspberry Pi elements are always perfectly displayed on your Raspberry Pi desktop.

Network Boot Installer

When you bring up power, hold down left shift to enter network boot it will start up in the rpi imager, from this point you can do all the normal imager things, including custom images in case you want to run an os not on the list in imager. There you go, no need to remove the pi and nvme drive from the case. Only prereqs are wired lan connection, monitor, and keyboard. Also could attach a mouse, but it's really not needed.

I like active coolers that are reportedly quieter than the official one.
I like the plastic case designs, as it won't get hot to touch like heatsink cases

Holy cow, I was just looking for a review of this earlier today. I watched ETA Prime's video on it but he isn't very in-depth as I like. I found lots of reviews of the pi 4 version of this case but this must be really new. Every case needs to have a break out board to give the pi full HDMI ports, makes things so much easier.

Someone should just make a replacement cover for this that the top comes out. I wonder if they just sell the break out board. I really like how instead of stacking they make it side by side as it is still really small. I agree though, need more access to the drive. EDIT: It doesn't look like they do sell this NVMe board, they sell other stackable NVMe boards but not this one. Still could just buy this case and print another top portion for it, even still sue the base.

Thank you very much for leepsp's videos; the explanations are very detailed. Also, that kitty is so cute, it seems like it wants a Raspberry Pi too, so it can curl up in bed at night to watch Tom and Jerry. By flashing Android onto it, it truly becomes a set-top box, and I love this idea.

Yes, the case should open at top to easier access the NVme drive. I'll wait for the next revision.

a tower case style could be fun. with room for an optical drive of course

I wish the Flirc cases had the cut-out for the 90° GPIO. That's nice with the label.

Lee looks after his cats - there's wet fur on the back of the neck where flea drop's been applied.
Remember to discharge your hands of static between petting cats and handling circuit boards!

I really like this. I have my pi 5 in an Argon One v3 NVME case, and, although it's otherwise great, the WiFi doesn't work too well (I have it connected via Ethernet), I suspect WiFi works better in this all plastic case. Pet your cat for me!

See the Argon ONE V3 M.2 NVME PCIE Case - you can get to the nvme easy.

Great video mate. On the back of this I purchased the same case and think it’s brilliant with my nvme drive.

On a side note I’ve got Home Assistant running on the nvme drive which runs perfectly well running my home automation needs. When I first set it up I booted with Rasberry pi os on an SD card then after the usual updates put Home Assistant via the Pi imager onto the nvme drive. It’s been on 8 or so months now working well.

My question is how often would you update the pi? Obviously Home Assistant sorts itself out but what about other updates? Also if you set gen3 speeds via config .txt will that transpose over to the Home Assistant install or is that just used when running pi os.

Interesting video. Next video, use a pointer so we're not looking mostly at the back of your hand instead of what you're talking about. Also, take it from a bit further away, as sometimes what you are showing is cropped by the top of the frame.

Is there room for a typical NVMe drive heat sink in the case? Cheers.
