Great video! But as others have said, you need to be careful with terminology - M.2 or 2.5inch is the size of SSD, whereas SATA or NVMe is the technology. An NVMe drive wouldn't work in this

Finally received the Update Kit sent to me after a Month in USPS Never-Never Land. Works Great.

These cases for SBs are getting better and better and they all tend to add more functionality to the boards. Good stuff.

Well, that kind of stinks - I bought it and, based on your NVME comments, purchased an M.2 NVME drive for it, only to find out it's M.2 SATA. No big deal - I can use the NVME drive on another box, but now waiting for the M.2 SATA drive to arrive. Love your videos, but going to have to double check what you say, going forward...

The needs to be corrected. The DeskPi Pro does *NOT* support M.2 NVMe SSD's. The M.2 adapter is for M.2 SATA SSD's only (i.e. it's not a PCIe). M.2 is a physical form factor.

Love your videos. Keep them coming. The products being reviewed are really awesome. The only drawback is the need for a usb jumper. With todays technology, these companies should be able to build a produce that doesn’t need a usb jumper for the drive to work.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I am almost positive that it does NOT have an actual safe shutdown feature. Meaning the button on the case can't initiate a software safe shutdown, like for example the Argon case . You would have to shutdown the system through the operating system and then the button would cut the power to the board/drive. I really want this case but I haven't bought it yet because of this oversight so if I am mistaken please correct the record and I will buy it right away.
Never the less, thank you ETA for all your amazing content. Keep them coming!
Edit- The brackets for the Ice Tower seem to be deformed upwards away from the board which made it extremely hard to get attached to the Pi. Did anyone else run into the same problem? It seems like a qc problem.

if they added a breakout HDMI input port for the camera port so you can do HDMI video capture this thing would be perfect

You talking about the commands that we put in for the fan and what not. That last part was confusing and I’m hung up

I bought the Crucial 500GB M.2 SSD you affiliate linked and it doesn't work with this case. Did you test with the drive? I bought it because you linked it. Perhaps remove the links if you don't know if the drives work.

Swapped out from Argon one (v1) to this at the weekend. As commented before the heatsink took forever for me to get all four screws to bite. Googled about ribbon cables and that was ok. All fitted together after fine until I had to fit rear perspex. Had to enlarge USB ports holes slightly for it to fit. Have Manjaro Arm KDE Plasma running fine on it .

what's the point of the dongle thing you plug onto the usb port on the back?

WilliamLeBreton-zlbm

It doesn't look like it's NVME compatible. It's just a M.2 SATA to 2.5" adapter.

Installing a heatsink without using the heatsink sticker is tight!

I have been thinking about how cool it would be to take a wii casing and putting a pc inside of it, why hadn't I thought about putting a pi4 in it?!
