Alastor is a very popular character within Hazbin Hotel, if not the most popular. His voice actor for the original pilot of the series is Edward Bosco. However, after the beginning of Season 1, Amir Talai takes over as the voice of the Radio Demon. Here are a comparison of their voices. Who do you prefer as the voice of Alastor? Please let me know in the comments.

I love both of them. And, to be honest, it sounds like Amir is the voice of Alastor after he's scraped off the rust after 7 years while Edward is his "still getting back into it" voice.

I personally much prefer Amir. He gives Alastor a more of an actual dark side than Edward did bc he honestly just sounded like a young guy who just wanted to do creepy things. Amir makes me image Alastor as someone with a lot more darkness to him. Just my opinion tho

Bosco, he seemed more unpredictable and the heavy radio voice was MUCH better, not to mention the laugh tracks that played

I like Bosco more because I feel like he fits Alastor's 20's theme better, and he's much more expressive, and Bosco has crazy depth to his voice, he can go deeper.

People need to remembee that Alastor in the pilot was much different than the one in the show.

Alastor in the pilot was a LOT more cheeful, unpredictable, and had a lot more energy.

Alastor in the show is less up-beat and is more-so creepy, darker, and less loud.

So, saying one actor is better than the other isn't exactly fair. It all depends on which variant of Alastor you prefer.

I prefer the pilot version, he was uch more lively, the fact he could go from summoning a giant portal and murdering sir pentious to "WHO WANTS SOME JUMBALAYA :D" was such an amazing take.

So, they both did an amazing job with Alastor, they both capture him very well.

Edit: The reason Edward was so hard to understand was due to the filter that was put on his voice, it wasn't Edward's fault.

Everyone: *explaining who they like better*

Me: *remembers that one video mentioning Alastor might be turn on by failure* (I have that line quote btw)

Amir because he's just better at playing Alastor and also I like the whole thing with Vox's VA being a lot like Alastor and Amir being a lot like Vox just complements it so nicely

Amir did an amazing job as Alastor.
Alastor was so menacing, dark and hilarious thanks to amir.

i don't know how to describe the difference other than a butter knife vs a steak knife, Edward sounds smooth and melodic, however Amir gives Alastor a sharp and jaggedness that just gives him another layer of terrific madness, it makes the difference between a regular radio host and a psychopathic serial killer radio host, Amir without a doubt is what lets Alastor keep the title of "The Radio Demon"

I love both, but I definitely like Edward Bosco's version of Alastor's voice ever so slightly more. I remember being devastated when I found out that he wouldn't be returning as Alastor in the official show, but Amir Talai still does a pretty good job.

Amir in my opinion since the voice is more fluid and easier to understand the words coming out of the characters mouth than in the pilot.

they are both excelent but as an og fan i like the pilot voice more. It just really sounded like a radio.

Both of them did a fantastic job, but I do think I prefer Edward's voice. I like the thicker radio filter, and the energy of his performance definitely made him sound more like a 1930s radio host. No disrespect to Amir though, his performance was still fantastic.

Both are great, honestly! It’s hard for me to choose because a lot of his personality has changed from pilot to season 1.

So, if anything, it’s more of a question of which personality is more intriguing!
