How to Fix Stuttering Audio in Nvidia GeForce Experience Recordings (Glitching Shadowplay Audio)

Nvidia GeForce Experience Shadowplay recordings can sometimes record with stuttering audio. There are a number of reason that can cause this, however typically it is caused due to your audio output device.

GeForce Experience runs into issues when working with specific drivers and audio outputs which cause the stuttering audio when recording. Fortunately Nvidia has released a fix to the stuttering audio problem.

Turning on experimental features through the GeForce Experience app will fix the issue. One of the experimental features is a hotfix that corrects the audio recording issue, so there is no glitching or stuttering.

Before enabling the Nvidia experimental features you will first need to close your game. Once enabled an update may begin to install the features that will correct your glitching audio.

After the update has finished your shadowplay audio should no longer be stuttering in recordings.

An alternative fix is to turn off the enhanced audio feature on your audio device through the sound control panel.

I have an issue where the audio and the clips glitch and it un-syncs the audio making me have to sync the clips, this only happens why i record for for minutes or around an hour, will these methods fix my problem aswell?

My instant replay captures only the audio I can hear, if I go into my PC settings and enable "Listen to this device" inside the "Sound Control Panel" I can hear my self in my clips but the entire time I am talking I hear myself and I hate hearing my self when I play it is annoying. the audio is fine its actually just the video that has these small freezes these small jitters, these small stutterings, that its almost like (in game) lagg.

0:50 if your audio output doesn't have an enhancement tab, follow this:

In sound control panel select your audio output.
Go to advanced tab.
Select the drop down under default format.
Scroll down and select the highest quality.
Restart any game or app you are trying to record.

If you have a digital output version:

In sound control panel select your digital output.
Go to Advanced.
Select the drop down under default format.
Scroll down and select the highest quality.
Then go to Supported formats.
Check the box to match your highest quality that you previously selected.
Restart any game or app you are trying to record.
