We agree. Saying no creates HUGE demand. People want what they can't have! Sometimes a no benefits an agency in the long-run.

With Talented videographers in my area I know, we always are passing on clients to one another because we know the job will get done well and at some point in the future a gig will get either RE-referred or passed again. If the job gets done well after the referral I believe it can do no harm to your business and may in “the futur” help you elevate again when in a different position in the space. Wether with same client or friend of client 🎉 love your channel. Especially if the person you refer to speaks highly of you.

A few years ago before discovering the futur I made the mistake to say no to a massive offshore company called Allseas and yes to super small clients. I made this mistake because I'm just alone and they needed multiple very long animations and I got intimidated by the huge pile of legal documents they sent me which also stated that I couldn't use subcontractors. After having seen many videos of the futur I think I could've worked with them and figure something out. This channel has made me more confident.
