Lol she broke the law within Russia. It’s their law. Also, I don’t understand why is there lawyers in Russia if the conviction rate is 99%.

Americans are told, over and over and over again, DO NOT BRING DRUGS IN OR OUT OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES! It really angers me they are trading this basketball player for Russian thug! I say, "You do the crime, you do the time!"

So if she gets let go for committing a crime like this. Are we gonna release all of the people who’ve done the same crime that are locked up within our own country?

Is America going to work so hard to get all American prisoner's released from Marijuana charges too, or just Griner? I'm currently posting this from my prison cell. I demand to be released! I only had a stogie on me. A big fat stogie.

Why are other US citizens that are in Russian prisons not in the news or being negotiated for their release by the White House? Does she have special privileges?

If the press wants to do something useful for a change, please get us a list of all Americans imprisoned in foreign countries on drug possession charges.

Check this out - the U.S. President said the sentence is unacceptable. But weed in the United States is a schedule 1 in the same class as heroin, which is basically a life sentence in the United States if you get caught with it. "yes they've lightened up the laws for weed in the United States but it still is a schedule 1." How is it that 9 years is unacceptable but in the country he runs it's a life sentence? The thing is, before you get the splinter out of somebody elses eye get the log out of your own eye. That way you can see clearly too be able to get the splinter out of somebody else's eye.

"I was gonna leave the vape at home...but I got high...now they're freeing the merchant of death...cause I got high."

to be honest Brittany should not have taken the can/vape with her... because she DID break the Law... serves her right to think she could get away with it, she knew what she was doing... hard Luck... you made it happen by your own actions... no sympathy..

Looking for excuses to cover up your
mistakes is an indication that
you do not want to change.
The process of looking for excuses
is detrimental to your true nature.
It harms you and leaves your conscience with
no place to stay.

If you going anywhere outside of America plz know the law. 99% of us will not be so fortunate to have that opportunity to swap a prisoner to prevent us from serving our sentence. Plz know the law of the place you going.
