Was a harbor pilot on board? Did the ship make way without one or the assistance of tug boat guidance? There are maritime regulations and procedures to prevent this sort of thing.

Where procedural rules related to appropriate workforce, ship maintenance and/or ship repair followed contributing to or causing this to happen? Were procedures changed or not followed making shipping more dangerous? If so who made the changes? Authorities must identify wrong doers and prosecute them to assure this doesn't happen again.

Alot of bridges in this country where large ships that uses these river water ways need lights underneath the beams across the full length of bridges as a safety warning boats and ships .They had a really bad river ship accident couple of years ago in Louisiana Alabama area where a river barge hit a rail bridge causing an Amtrak moving at high speed to jump the track into a river full of alligators and snakes.that bridge didn't have no lights underneath it. Bottom line I bet they'll rule this Ships captain, or pilot error . The video shows how far to the right it was sitting.prayers 🙏 for those people and families affected 🙏 .
