Marx's wife referred to him as "My big baby". Marx's had a terrible two-year-old temperament when he didn't have his way. Marx's family was dirt poor, ill, and on the verge of frequently being kicked out of their apartment. Yet, Marx always treated himself with tobacco and drink, living like a distinguished gentleman at cafes, as if he was a famous writer.

When Marx and his family moved to England, Engels bailed him out, and Marx moved into a nice middle-class house, with four servants. He and his family took a 30 day vacation, and then he threw a coming out party for his daughters and dozens of their friends. Broke, he had to beg from Engels again, who eventually put him on a allowance. Marx, who promoted to outlaw inheritances, himself chased down every distant relative when they died to see if he could get some of the money.

For a man who railed against the rich and bourgeoisie, he lived like as a parasite off Engels, who had inherited his dad's textile business and no doubt profited off the back of his underpaid and overworked employees that he allegedly championed as the exploited underclass. Marx never worked a blue collar job, never attended a protest, yet virtue signaled for years for the 'proles that he considered too dirty to associate with. If his ardent followers saw him today, most would be appalled at what a miserable selfish slob he was.

Don't get me wrong, most of my family and friends lean to the left, but we had a term in my working class neighborhood for guys like marx, it's not highly technical or clever, we called them assholes. I have noticed that trait has been passed down to his followers quite regularly.

Came from a good family, smart enough to coast through school, partied away his underclassman years in college, couldn't hold a serious job to save his life, emotionally bullied his friends and family into giving him whatever he wanted until the money ran out, and nothing is ever his fault.

It's kind of funny that Karl respected his father when you read the letters between the two. You can see the degradation of his father's opinion of his son, who constantly begged the man for money. (And would receive it...) And would tell him in nicer words that he was a leech on the family.

Sir I think you so very much for this great contribution even as academic from Germany I did not know this things about Marx. It is highly disturbing and irritating that the person who has brought so much pain on the world was somebody who thought of himself being a god.
