Today we're going through How I take Notes on the iPad Pro, using Notability and GoodNotes

That's today's video.

Black Paper Links.
They are PDF's of Black Paper shared via google Drive.
After importing them into GoodNotes, you can use them as a template. If you have issues with doing this, please let me know via the comment section.

"All the answers you need are out there, you just need the right questions to access them."

This guy drops this freaking eye-opener just like that.

"You don't need drawings to be a visual learner..just organizing information in a visual way and orienting it in a space forces your mind to connect things." THIS!!! 🙌🏽 Thanks, this video helps me so much!

As a college professor, I am so glad you have showed all of this. This is absolutely brilliant. I may need to start showing this video to my biochem students! Thank you for this.

For anybody who needs it:
1. Break the lecture down in questions
2. Group the questions that you make in categories
3. Find the answers on your questions with the lecture and additional resources
4. Take notes

I'm almost 50 years old, thinking about going back and doing a PhD, and you just taught me something profound that 5 decades of life and a Master's Degree in Education never did anywhere near as clearly. Bravo.

Sam, I’m not try to get overly dramatic but your videos blessed my life and really saved me from a life shipwreck. My story. I’m a 42 year old. I just retired from the United States Marines as a senior officer. I have undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science. I know how to learn and achieve. However, during my career I was injured in Iraq and have PTSD. Fast forward to now since retiring I’ve been pursuing my long time goal of becoming a dentist. Since it was 22 years from undergrad I decided to take all the prerequisites again fresh to do well on the DAT and well...just be a good student. My first semester was horr-r-ble! I barely passed. Barely passed subjects with skills I demonstrably mastered before. I was depressed and about to quit. I notice on my own how disorganized I was relative to my undergrad. I have a box that contains all my notes and exams from my engineering school. Neat and arranged. Going back to school today I was all over the place; total disaster. I didn’t mention I have 5 daughters now! Lol At any rate the long period of time away from school, the PTSD, the new life responsibilities, and disorganization point to some real executive functioning challenges. I have a much to work on the front but this semester as been so much better. Why? I watched all your videos and it motivated me. I got the IPad Pro 12.9 and I settled on Goodnotes even though I bought both apps. This organization is a game changer. Your video about combining notes, slides, and personal study were phenomenal. I don’t get as stressed out and I feel like I’m actually learning. I’d like to send you a study guide I easily made on Goodnotes; I’m kinda proud of it. Lol. Keep doing what you’re doing. I think you’re gonna be the Khan Academy of executive functioning. 🙏😃❤️ Ron

This is a class that needs to be given every year in school. HOW TO TAKE NOTES WORTH STUDYING!!! The iPad content is great but the method for noting and studying those notes is awesome.

I watched this video in 2020 and here I am one year later, I am an average student but I used your advice of writing down all the questions and I got 96% this year and understood everything. I just wanna thank you so much. Also I didn't use any iPad just with my books and papers. But now that I got good grades my dad told me he will buy me an iPad. ❤

This is actually such incredible advice. I studied physics and every lecture made me feel so stupid. I thought I was, but 'feeling stupid' is actually the first step to learning. The second step is asking questions, and having the courage to do so. I wish I did this. Brilliant! <3

You need to partner with Apple. You’re literally promoting them and they’re aware!! People from Apple came into my uni (ADL) and actually recommended seeing ur vdos (I had seen your channel when I bought my iPad Pro) great content 😉

As a medical student, you totally opened up my mind and revolutionized the way I study. You have shifted my paradigm about studying that it isn't just a passive process, but an active one. Our brain works by answering question and our main job in learning is challenging it by asking questions and identifying problems. It isn't just plain memorizing and parroting. Thank you Samuel!

I absolutely love how he admits there were things he didn't know, and there were things that overwhelmed him. That's what makes good students and good teachers.

On being 76 yrs of age and curious and wanting to know about subjects that I love such as organic gardening and love for nature, Samuel ‘s video has ignited a new fire within me to remember what I read and take notes was really inspirational, You are truly a great teacher, teaching about how to ask the right question s to arrive at the right answers and to study well is so important so as to get the optimum output from your iPad , which I have found to be a very powerful tool in learning and widening your horizons . Truly a great video and a learning experience.
