How to reset service light on a vauxhall vivaro

A really quick video guys just quickly showing you how to reset your service light on a vauxhall vivaro van or a van with the same ECU (I know a few of you have these vans), This may be be an issue because you have moved your van service forward and then the light has come on so to save time you can reset the service light / spanner yourself.

This might help some people who are struggling to get it to work, I had to hold the accelerator pedal down before I turned the ignition on to get it to work. The rest is the same. Thanks for the video.

Worked on my 2013 vivaro. Took about 4 goes. I put foot down on gas before ignition key turned as one of the comments said.

Tried several times and won’t work. Then I realized I wasn’t releasing my foot off the brake pedal fully during the x2 counts. Literally had to press all the way down and release fully off the brake pedal x2 then hold on the 3rd. Boom 💥 it worked 😅

You have to hold the break and accelerator for 10 secconds at the end. Not sure if only for automatic. But that did the trick for me 😊

I just put my vivaro service light out with a gallon of fuel and box of matches. Perfect.

I have used this trick once successfully awhile ago but it will not work for me now.I have tried following some of the tips in the comments without success. I have checked that the rear interior lights go out ok when rear doors closed. Only problem I have is that from time to time going around a corner the front interior light come on!! Any ideas please..

Doesn't work on my 2018 van. It came up with a message a couple of weeks ago saying service required in 900 miles, the 600 t4hen 300 then said it needed one now. Since that, it comes up with various messages most common of which is check anti pollution system. Most annoying is it drives like I'm running out of fuel. I'm convinced it's programmed to do that to make people get it serviced instead of leaving it. Any tips?

This doesn’t work on my van but the back door switches don’t work. Think the rear interior light stays on all the time when driving then times out when you stop. The brake pedal doesn’t press down very far either. It’s a 12 plate vivaro. Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience. Excellent videos thanks.

Just incase this doesn't work for you the other way is to push down the trip computer button on the stork, then turn on the ignition, and hold for 10-15 seconds. The service light won't go out but turn the ignition off then on again and it should disappear.
