Since starting cash envelopes I’ve managed to save money and have money left in my envelopes every month. Previously I always wondered where did all my money go. I think having physical money makes it tangible and I’m reluctant to use it so I end up saving! Thanks for inspiring me and helping me on my financial journey Zoe!🙏

Zoe, it's funny to me how you mentioned that *not* thinking about money actually helped you with money. The last few months have been incredibly challenging for me productivity-wise, and I just didn't feel like doing anything, really (even at work, which was concerning me). I asked ALL my friends for advice, and one of my best friends told me to just "stop thinking about it." At that point, I was basically willing to try anything, and much to my surprise, it was actually very, very good advice. Sure, I wasn't super productive or did the most, but I wasn't paralyzed by my own fear--and I feel like that makes all the difference :)))

I never thought about bringing that mindset to my finances, but I might try it out!

I don’t think you are taking a step back. I see why it might feel that way after a few months of lower earnings. You are restructuring and setting up your business which is a major step forward (this takes money « away » from your pocket this month, so you feel cash strapped) and secondly you invested in yourself with the Pilates teachers training. These are major strides forward and you will reap the benefits of all this work soon! ❤

I bet you could cut Christmas down to $800.00. You could do a challenge. Try to find deals and shop around. You could make a video about it too!

Thank you. People hardly talk about having so much financial goal and stepping back to properly prioritize. ❤

Great video. You're doing well. Stay on track and you will reach your goals. 🙂 I know a lot of what you do is "gentle" and "soft", but sometimes when we overdue we need a a month or two of scorched Earth basics. Bare bones and then we have what we need to save for something like Christmas or other things.

Have a great weekend! 🙂

You should make a video on how you manage to focus at I have literally two laptops but I don't know where I placed one of my chargers.... might indulge on a good and cute desktop.

Loved this video Zoe! Thank you for always being so honest around money and for sharing your insights. It was so interesting to hear that thinking less about money, actually led you to spend less too - what a cool result! 🎉

I definitely recommend saving towards your Xmas fund every month if you can. I have done it for the last few years - and it has really helped me to just LOVE Christmas time and giving gifts to others 💕💕

I love cash envelopes. Yes I started saving for my Christmas in Jan and had a fix amount. I also added any money I did not use in my variable envelopes so now I’m finish saving for Christmas.

I think you could definitely make more cuts. Like cut dining out down to $150.00. Then you will be able to pay make some of your emergency fund.
