Man Tina and her backup dancers are more like athletes than entertainers.. the amount of energy they put into this song with singing and dancing is amazing. I can't imagine doing it for a whole 2 hour concert. All 4 women look amazing and their arms are so tone and defined I can't help to notice. I have so much respect for Tina and her backup singers.

The fact that she was battling so much but you’d never know it because she always pulled it together to put on a good show for her fans

The fact she did this routine well into her 70s is astounding. RIP Ms Tina Turner.

She is a prime example of what bringing it all to the stage, looks like. So much energy. It’s lost in todays crowd, except for a select few.

She's so amazing to watch. Her breathing is on point still after all of that dancing. I'd be on the floor rolling off the stage from exhaustion lol 🤣

She was my neighbor and I can say she was truly one of the kindest person I ever knew. I went to school with her kids Craig and little Ike.

Tina, had the best background of all time. Those ladies could dance, and sang. Love Tina!

She was 30 years old at the time. She's dancing that even a 20-year old can't imitate. That's amazing.

I’m a classic rocker, been playing guitar for almost 55 years, I’ve looked for a female singer like her all my life, I’ve never been able to find anyone like her, i never got tired of hearing her voice, RIP Tina.

The band and dance choreography is tight. I love Tina's stage presence and how she shuffles to the mic @1:53 without missing a beat.

Damn good! 53 years ago! Ed Sullivan should be given credit for not only booking the very best rock talent, but also raising the bar for the absolute best video quality, sound mixing, production, and sets. The camera work was amazing in this video. The way the girls come out in the foreground and all get into position with the camera following them and then getting a great view. Perfect. That performance required a hell of a lot of practice and planning by all involved. If any are still alive...a big thank you!

Classic performance! The Ikette with the long hair is Claudia Lennear. She was dating Mick Jagger around this time. He wrote the song "Brown Sugar" about her. Claudia is also in the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom. The Ikettes and Kings of Rhythm need their own documentary. So many talented singers and musicians started their career with the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. Jimi Hendrix was even briefly in Ike Turner's band.
