I can't believe the comments in this section. Ppl are attacking Tina when she was the one who was abused for 16 years. To attack a person who has endured so much pain and strife is uncalled for. Yes, Ike may have been a great musician but, he was an evil person. Not only did he beat her, she had to put up with the MULTIPLE infidelity in her face. Ike literally BROKE Anna/Tina until she got the courage to stand up for herself, fight back and leave. I'm glad she did and I don't feel sorry for him. Sorry NOT sorry!

Tina was an incredibly brave woman. It takes a lot of personal strength to endure what she did, then break free from Ike & make a career for herself again.
She is an incredible role model for anyone in life. Her courage along with her humility & ability to forgive when she had the right to hold a grudge showed that her character & her personal contentment was stronger than allowing her life to be dictated by hate.

I can honestly say - after getting out of my narc abusive relationship - I’ve come to realise that it built me. It took me years to rebuild and when this doc came out I remember uncontrollably crying as I was still mourning the loss of who I was and the incredibly painful situation I’d escaped and seen Tina and thought I can too rebuild, I can continue to be successful, in worthy! Tina is a total warrior! Legend, rest easy ❤️

I’ve loved Tina ever since I first heard River Deep, Mountain High on a little transistor radio at my local swimming pool in May ‘66. The combination of Tina’s soaring vocals, the beautiful lyrics & Spector’s phenomenal production left an indelible impression on my 16 year old self. Her life story is inspirational, and the fact that she worked so hard to rebuild her career from complete penury has transformed her into a total legend.
