Fishing the american style pack bait onto a method feeder is not really european or british style, although the method feeder was invented in the UK, we don't really use them with your breadcrumb recipe they are normally used with a method mix ground bait and are rarely used for carp fishing anymore, match anglers like them for catching smaller silver fish.

The true british way of carp fishing nowerdays is mainly the use of PVA and spod rockets to get your bait out there, we bait up our spots using big baits such as pellet and boilie.. The pack baits attract too many small fish so when targeting speciman size carp we use pva bags full of pellet or boilie that small fish cannot touch.

A typical british river carp rig will consist of a heavy mainline of atleast 15lb which is tied to a LEAD-CORE leader of around 1m in length, the lead-core is attatched to a lead clip where you can clip on your hair rig, and lead weight, using a tail rubber to lock the sinker onto the clip which also has its anti tangle properties.
