I honestly think the small form factor is a major component of why the SE is so popular. I don’t like the trend of increasing sizes. There should always be a smaller option.

What do you think about the idea that instead of Apple making use of the iPhone XR as the base for the SE 4, they opted for the iPhone 12/13 Mini? This would make much more sense to me, as they still have the much small form factor making a clear distinction between the rest of the lineup. I also think that there is a market for a smaller iPhone however, Apple sometimes make it to confusing with their product lineup for the consumers. I hope Apple adopts the less is more concept like they have done in the past and have the following lineup; iPhone SE, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro & iPhone 15 Ultra.

I prefer touch ID over face ID, which is why I have not updated my phone to the newer stuff and has stick with the eight. So I am super excited to possibly get this one.

If the iPhone SE is going to have the XR design and Touch ID on the power button, what's going to happen with the notch? It would make no sense for Apple to make an iPhone with a notch that doesn't have Face ID.

I hope they don’t go for the XR. The whole appeal is the small form factor.

The only reason the minis didn’t do well is because they release the SE right before the iPhone 12 mini and most people that wanted a smaller phone and thought they didn’t have another choice went in on the SE. then even by the time the 13 came out most of those people wouldn’t be ready to upgrade yet.

If they continue with the SE. What do you think about Apple transitioning the iPhone 13 mini form factor & design into the SE line-up. Basically making the iPhone 13 mini becoming the SE in 2024 might be a thing, no? They could keep the phone as it. It will be less up-to-date in 2024, so pricing may get down to the $450-490 mark. What do you think about that move?

Literally last week I got the SE3 to replace my older iPhone 7. In terms of performance and feel, the two phones are identical. Yes, I notice the better battery life. Speed is just slightly faster with the G5. Cannot tell any difference between the camera, even though I accept the newer camera is slightly better. That said, to me the two units are nearly identical. Only reason to upgrade is to get the newer iOS.

I prefer fingerprint biometrics...this might the the first iPhone I can use for all my needs...except video consumption...

I don’t care about high end specs. I just want an iPhone that works and has good battery life. I will keep this one in mind when it arrives.

Honestly if the iPhone SE 4 was coming out next year I would probably get it. I have an iPhone XR now, so getting a phone that's like the XR only slightly upgraded would be good. But I don't know if I can wait two more years for a new phone when my phone is already four years old. I'll probably get an iPhone 15 next year.

What if the 15 pro and max get 4 lenses (periscope lens)
and the normal iphone 15 get 3 lenses (like the 14pro)
and then the SE was based on the 11 with 2 lenses instead of the XR!

I was expecting Apple to make the next SE based off of the old "plus" model phones, like the iphone 6s plus etc. The plus models were actually really popular at the time, but these days definitely overshadowed by better screen to body ratios. I mean the old plus models had 5.5'' displays, that's considered small these days.

Honestly it feels like a shame that starting from now Apple will no longer be releasing any phones with a home button. It's a shame because home buttons are easier on your wrists then swiping.

i don't think they'll redesign it. I think it will be basically an 11 design with latest chip. considering the price of 11 right now is not far from the latest SE

I won't lie here, the whole idea of 5.7 inch screen and touch id is REALLY grabbing my attention here 👀 if we get exciting colors I may just have to buy this as a business line 🤔

The SE4 should be an “entry level” phone and hence should be the size of the 12/13 mini. Some of us don’t want to carry “iPad/tablet sized phones” in our pockets!!
