When you're watching a company unable to keep workers- it should be a red flag for any future employees that the company is HORRIBLE!

Amazon probably figures it is cheaper to break the law than provide decent working conditions and a fair wage.

The Robber Barons are back.
Robber barons were 19th-century American industrialists and bankers who were known for their unethical business practices and monopolistic tendencies:
Robber barons created monopolies in industries like oil, steel, railroads, banks, tobacco, liquor, and cotton. They used tactics like exploiting workers, creating trusts, and disregarding competitors to achieve this.
Robber barons manipulated the government and law to obtain advantages for themselves.
Robber barons flaunted their wealth through lavish spending and possessions.
Robber barons used exploitative practices like wage slavery, destroying natural resources, and selling stock at inflated prices.
Robber barons often had little empathy for workers

It’s disgusting that a corporation like amazon can take in billions in profits, but not treat there workers with care and respect. There’s enough money to go around, pure greed.

I plan to retire at 62 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but l'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Stephanie Janis Stiefel my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible.

I just don't understand why a huge company like Amazon with all the money they have cannot treat its employees better!! Why?!? Unbelievable!

Consumers need to boycott Amazon until it realises it has no business without the staff. Customers want all workers to be treated fairly.

It's not about the country. It's about people who subscribe and buy from Amazon who enable and embolden the company to keep operating as they do. Boycotts help. People need to take their money elsewhere.

I was an Amazon driver for 4 months in the peak of summer. It was brutally tiring, the expectations are ridiculous and unsustainable, you’re monitored constantly for your metrics (and surveillanced via camera in your truck), you’re lucky if you get a few min to stop and use the bathroom, and then god forbid you fell behind for any reason, you’re interrogated when you return the truck at the end of your shift. I lost so much weight (was a nice byproduct) BUT my knees were shot, heat strokes are a real daily threat, and to top it off I was almost attacked by 3 dogs in that small timeframe and stung by bees in my truck. Not remotely worth the beans they pay for the excruciating work. I quit because I refused to risk my wellbeing delivering packages for hours in the dark in the winter. It was hard and risky enough during daylight hours. All this to say, conditions and expectations for workers have to change. This is modern day slavery that we consumers and workers have the power to put an end to!
