Timestamps are integrated into the video now showing each segment dedicated to this device.
This is under 40 minutes for this device so that's why there's timestamps so you can skip to wherever you need to be. No harm in doing so! If you are here to see the teardown, you can skip to that. If you are here just for the specs, you can skip to that - absolutely no problems whatsoever!

Greetings and welcome to another installment in the series called TACKY TABLETS, a series in which I test technologically terrible tacky tablets that I have collected over the years to demonstrate any redeeming qualities that these devices may have.

Except I haven't had this one for years. I found it at my local flea market. Some good ol' Ainol at the flea market hey!

Well, all jokes aside. I was actually amazed to find another one of their products. So here it is featured on Tacky Tablets. I'll let my immature self explain it all in the video.

Hope you enjoy this one and if you have any good ideas for stuff to test on Android 4.x and lower please let me know :)

Grab a drink and a snack, sit back and relax and watch as I dig deep into some real big Ainol.

*Somehow another manual review was done on this video and it's not safe for advertisers. Just roll with it. It's up here for the fun anyways. YouTube can't be the "butt" of the joke...ahhhh*

Welcome to another installment in my "TACKY TABLETS" series which I look at very questionable tablets and see if they are worthy or not. I did only get this a few weeks back but I'll hold onto this one very dearly :)

Any ideas for testing stuff on Android 4.x and lower please let me know! The obvious choice is emulation but any ideas would be appreciated. Let me know what you thought of this thing down below :)

The name is funny enough but the "*" logo of Ainol for sure tells me they knew what they were doing

Ainol sounds like a company that belongs in the GTA universe lmao.

"Enjoy life. Enjoy Ainol." They really are the Platos of our modern times. AND it's an asterisks for their logo. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.

Somewhere between Susan, Pipi, and Ainol, this channel is creating some great potential lore/fan fiction. My ex-wife used to sell these tablets online. Initially they looked nice, but they were poorly made and broke easily. No need for them now since you can have a great multimedia tablet, like the Samsung I'm typing this on, for 150 euros.

Ahhh. Now i understand what she really wants, when she mentions ainol. No wonder she was screaming like a struggling concrete cutter every time. All she wanted was just a simple tablet to read a relaxing ebook before sleep.

Thanks for your marriage and relationship education. Never expected you to cover those topics!

These old tablets can work as an OBS / stream control deck, I have a similar spec Acer (Android 4.2) and it does the job nicely for the £4 I paid for it on ebay, which is just a bit cheaper than the +£200 Elgato version. Great channel old chap, very entertaining.

NO there's NO WAY the name is just an accidental coincidence. The logo (which looks like a cat's "ainus"), the "enjoy Ainol" slogan... the fact that it's a piece of crap... it's intentional.

Was only a matter of time for this one to show up.

I still love the Android 4/4.1 Interface.
It was great for tablets.
Also the settings menu is so much more structured than on newer versions. Especially starting with android 11 the menu just got horrible. A12 even more.
I love those older versions, back then android was also much more open source friendly then now where many APIs are part of play services

it even have the asterisk in it - a symbol colloquially known as euphemism for 'butthole'.

Came here for Ainol, stayed for the comically long flex cable

For this type of devices, I'd create a seal of "quality" that just says "Better than a Welcome". Not up there with the good devices yet, but not the worst of the worst.

Unrelated to anything puckering, Cut the Rope was a pretty good puzzle series, well worth a play. :)
